Weekend Courses | Qigong for Health and Vitality

The 3-hour weekend classes are held regularly and provide a great opportunity to get to know Qigong and its benefits during a beginners class or to deepen your practice in an advanced class..


Course 1: Qigong Discovery - Fundamental Beginners Class

This course introduces you to the essence of qigong. You will learn to relax, to focus and to generate the flow of energy.

You will then discover and practice four fantastic exercises from the 19 Lohan Hands. These exercises are very easy to learn, yet also very effective. After the course you will be able to practice them by yourself.

The Qigong exercises stimulate and enhance the Qi-Flow and by doing so, will promote your health. With as little as 10-15 minutes a day you can achieve excellent results. Health issues will be alleviated, often they may even disapear. You will also have more energy in your daily life. Your physical and mental performance will be improved.

Practical information about how to practice and some insights into the philosophy of Qigong will complete this course.

Course Content - You will learn

  • to be relaxed and focused at the same time
  • to generate a Qi-Flow and use it for your health, vitality and performance
  • the fundamental exercise "Lifting the Sky"
  • three exercises from the 18 Lohan Hands (incl. 8 Brocade exercises)
  • the skill to practice these exercises as genuine Qigong
  • the ability to create your own training program for best results
  • background knowledge about Qigong and its application

Schedule and Requirements

The introductory is suitable for anyone new to Qigong, as well as for advanced learners who want to repeat and deepen the basics. Usually it takes place in the morning. No previous experience is necessary. The next course date can be found at the bottom of this page.

Course 2: Advanced Course

We learn additional exercises from one of the different Qigong sets. At the same time, we delve deeper into the Qigong principles and learn different techniques and skills to achieve different goals with one and the same exercise. Once learned, you can transfer that to previously learned exercises.

Schedule and Requirements

Before you take this course, you should learn the basics of Qigong in our introductory course. This can be the morning introductory session, an evening class or another course with a teacher from the Shaolin Wahnam Institute. The exercises of the Spring Blossom Set are easy to learn. Participants who attend the evening classes might already be familiar with some of the exercises included in the set.
